Sizing - The Depend Protection with Tabs fit well within the average medium sized adult diaper. The advertised waist from the manufacture is 19 to 34 inches. After measuring the brief at we found that it measured 23.5 inches wide and we feel that this will accommodate a person with a waist up to 37 inches. A unique feature of the brief is the elastic banding at the waistline of the brief. This allows the brief to remain very close to the user and helps maintain a very secure fit. All other sizing in terms of length and leg cutouts are well within the average medium adult brief.

Construction - This adult diaper has a white plastic backing that is soft to the touch. There is one light blue wetness indicator that runs down the middle of the brief that fades after the diaper contains moisture. One feature unique to Depend adult diapers is the three sets of fastening tapes on each side of the brief. They sick well to the side of the brief and make a very secure fit. One negative is that if a user needs to adjust the fit of the diaper they may tear the outer plastic backing when trying to remove the fastening tabs. The inside of the diaper features tall leg gathers that run along the center of the brief that help stop leaks. They measure in at 38 mm tall and we feel this is more than adequate for side sleepers. These diapers are also thinner than the average adult diaper. This helps conceal the brief under clothing while providing a more comfortable fit.

Noise - The Depend adult fitted brief does make an audible noise. This is most likely due to the plastic (poly) backing of the diaper. The noise they make may only be noticed in a quiet room when a person is walking while wearing them.

Absorbency - Although thinner than the average incontinence brief the Depend Fitted Briefs absorb well per inch when compared to other adult diapers in the front and back areas of the diaper. But comparing absorbency in the crotch area these briefs fall slightly short of the average diaper at 14.5 grams per inch while the average diaper absorbs around 18 grams per inch.
